From religion and spirituality, to culture and lifestyle, philosophy and history, Hebrew and Yiddish, Israel, and more, there’s always something new to enjoy and remarkable to discover.

We also have an extensive Kids section with hundreds of videos featuring Jewish and Israel cartoons, music, explainers, Torah and blessings, Hebrew, holidays, and crafts.

NEGEV’s premium subscription is currently $9.99 USD per month. We also offer quarterly and yearly plans with discounts, for $21.99 USD per quarter (27% discount) and $59.99 USD per year (50% discount).

There are no other fees, such as setup or cancellation fees. Some states and countries may mandate sales tax, which is processed by the app stores and not by us directly.

You will not be charged anything during this 7-day free trial. If you cancel at anytime during this free trial period, you will not be charged anything. You can cancel in 15 seconds via your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account.

If you do not cancel during this free trial period, you will be charged according to the subscription price you signed up for.

You can easily cancel your premium subscription at any time, for any reason, via your iOS (Apple) and Android devices.

We are an Israeli startup, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Tel Aviv, without any specific political or religious affiliations or commitments.

NEGEV was founded by Joshua Hoffman, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, and moved to Israel in 2013. He is also the founder of IZZY – Stream Israel, as well as the author of three books: “Reimagining Israel,” “The Future of Jewish,” and “Journeys of the Jewish Spirit.”

We offer videos (both short and long) and podcasts. All of this content is viewable within the NEGEV app and website.

We source this content from thousands of sources across the world, from media outlets and organizations, to thought leaders and influencers. And, we comb through all of it to only bring you the very best!

Our experienced editors update NEGEV six days a week, multiple times each day, and take a break on Shabbat (Saturday).

You have on-demand access to more than 5,000 videos and podcasts 24/7.

Currently, our primary language is English.

We plan to add other languages in the future, such as Hebrew, Spanish, French, and Arabic.

If you would like to request a certain language, please contact us and let us know!

Our experienced editors select videos and podcasts based on a combination of quality and relevance, as well as the quality of content’s producer/owner.

Our goal is to provide a wide, deep, comprehensive, and inclusive look into the Jewish world, so we purposefully select content with varying beliefs, opinions, viewpoints, perspectives, etc.

Generally, we stay away from violence, racism, bigotry, discrimination, and crime and criminal intentions.

In terms of the news and current events we include on the platform, we select content that has global interest or relevance, rather than hyper-local items.

No, there is no advertising on the NEGEV app and website.

My Account

Before you can start using NEGEV, you’ll need to create an account. These steps may vary depending on your device. 

NEGEV App for Android or iOS

1) Download the NEGEV app for Android or iOS.
2) Tap the “I’m new to NEGEV.” button.
3) Select the type of account you’d like to create (Google, Apple, email, or guest).
4) Complete the Sign Up process.

NEGEV Website

1) Go to our website: www.go.negev.io
2) Tap the “I’m new to NEGEV.” button.
3) Select the type of account you’d like to create.
4) Complete the Sign Up process.

Creating an account allows you to personalize NEGEV and access your account from any of your smartphone and tablet devices.

If you select the “Sign up as guest” option, you will not be able to personalize your account across multiple devices.

For those who create an account using Google, Apple, or email, you will automatically have access to your NEGEV account on your all mobile and/or tablet devices.

If you elect for a premium subscription, NEGEV premium subscriptions “auto-renew.” This means that you will automatically be charged on a recurring basis, depending on the type of subscription you purchased. For example, if you purchase a yearly subscription, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of that 12-month period.

You must cancel or pause your subscription prior to your auto-renew date to avoid additional charges, which you can easily do in your iTunes/Apple ID or Google Play Store settings.

If you signed up for a subscription via our website, visit the Settings area and select “Manage My Account” to cancel or pause your subscription. You can also do so here.

Yes, you can connect NEGEV to your family accounts via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and share it with those who are connected to your family account.

Currently, we do not offer group discounts.

You can easily cancel or pause your subscription at any time, for any reason, by logging into your account settings in your iTunes/Apple ID settings or Google Play Store. There are no setup or cancellation fees, and you will not be charged again after you cancel your subscription.

To access NEGEV on other devices, download the NEGEV app. Then, sign in to your account using one of the sign in options (email, Apple, Google, etc).

Once you’re signed in and on the Explore page, tap on one of the “Tell me more!” buttons, which will take you to the upgrade page.

Next, scroll down to the subscription type to which you are already subscribed (annual, quarterly, or monthly) and tap on it.

After you tap on the relevant subscription type, a message will appear that you already have this subscription. Tap on continue, and you will receive premium access to NEGEV on this device. (No additional payment is required, and you will not be charged anything extra.)

Please be mindful that you must be signed into the same Apple App Store or Google Play Store account on additional devices in order for this process to work. 

Features

My Feed allows you to take more control of your NEGEV experience by customizing your favorite Jewish and Israel categories, topics, and channels! This section is for premium subscribers.

You can customize your NEGEV experience in the My Feed section. Within this section, there are three features you can customize:

1) Shortcuts: In the My Feed section, find the “My Shortcuts” section (towards the top). Tap the EDIT text or the Plus icon, and then tap on the categories that you want to include in the My Shortcuts section.

2) Channels: In the My Feed section, find the “My Channels” section (towards the top). Tap the EDIT text, and then tap on the channels that you want to include in the My Channels section.

3) Journeys: In the My Feed section, find the “My Journeys” section (towards the top). Tap the EDIT text, and then tap on the journeys that you want to include in the My Journeys section.

To remove shortcuts and/or channels, tap the EDIT text in each part of the My Feed section. Then, unselect the shortcuts, channels, and/or journeys that you want to remove.

In the NEGEV app, tap on the More icon (the three vertical dots) in the top left corner of the navigation bar, and then tap My Library.

Yes, currently we offer Search for more than 5,000 videos in the NEGEV app.

To access the Search section, tap on the More icon (the three vertical dots) in the top left corner of the navigation bar, then tap Video Library, and then tap the search bar at the top of the page.

In the NEGEV app, click on the More icon (the three vertical dots) in the top left corner of the navigation bar, and then select Kids.

Yes! We have a section of hundreds of videos that are great for educational purposes.

To access this section, tap on the More icon (the three vertical dots) in the top left corner of the navigation bar, and then tap NEGEV 101.

Troubleshooting

If you can’t sign into your account and used an email address to sign up, please reset your password by clicking on the “I forgot my password” button on the Sign In page.

Please also make sure that the app is updated on your device by going to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and checking if there is a new update.

If the problem persists, we want to know! Get in touch and describe your issue in as much detail as possible, so we can look into things.

Please contact us with the existing email address on file, and the new email address you want to update it with. Upon receiving your request, we will ask for additional information to verify you are the account owner.

This option only applies to users who signed up for a NEGEV account using their email address, not Google, Apple, or guest accounts.

If you are logged in to your account in the NEGEV app, click on the Settings icon in the top right of the navigation bar, click on the Reset Password button, and follow the instructions.

If you are not logged in to your account in the NEGEV app, open the NEGEV app on your device and select the Reset Password option.

We know app crashes are a pain, but don’t panic yet! There are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1) First things first, make sure you have a strong internet connection; try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to gauge whether or not there’s a problem there.

2) Delete and reinstall the app. Not only will this put you on the latest version of NEGEV, it’ll also refresh your app experience, which should get things running smoothly again!

3) If you’re experiencing issues on the NEGEV app for iOS or Android, try using www.negev.io instead.
One of these should do the trick, but on the off chance they don’t work, we’re more than likely experiencing some level of service degradation and appreciate your patience while we work to get things back up and running.

If the problem persists, we want to know! Get in touch and describe the issue in as much detail as possible, so we can hop on the case.

Since we curate content, we do not have control over the availability of individual YouTube videos that we curate. Some YouTube videos may not be available in your country/region for the following reasons:

– Video owners have chosen to make their content available only to certain countries/regions (usually due to licensing rights).

– YouTube may block specific content to comply with local laws.

Although this is a rare occurrence, we apologize for the inconvenience!

Because you entrust NEGEV with your information, the security of our application and the privacy of your data is our top priority. Ensuring that we maintain a robust, transparent, and accountable security program is core to our commitment to you.

We use Google to store user account information, and Apple App Store and Google Play Store to process payments. Both Apple and Android use security features built-in to the hardware and software of your device to help protect your transactions.

We welcome input from the security research community in identifying potential issues and ways to improve the security of our applications, infrastructure, and member data. We encourage security researchers to responsibly disclose any potential vulnerabilities uncovered. We are committed to addressing security issues responsibly and in a timely manner. To protect our members, we request that you please refrain from sharing information about any potential vulnerabilities with anyone outside of NEGEV until we have had the opportunity to review and address them with you. We appreciate your help in keeping NEGEV secure for our users.
